Experimental Animation MFA First Year Short: Cuppets (2025)

In my stop motion short, Cuppets, two anthropomorphic, discarded cups sit in an alleyway, communicating in an invented language as they play with an old piece of gum. Their small-scale world is contrasted by looming human figures, culminating in a sudden interaction that blends slapstick humor with commentary on pollution and neglect.

Behind the Scenes

Experimental Animation MFA Thesis Film: Desk Monkey (2026-27 Work In Progress)

Through vibrant colors, tactile textures, and playful visual language, my work aims to evoke nostalgia while inviting audiences to find humor and strangeness in familiar systems and environments. In my current MFA thesis film, Desk Monkey, I expand this approach through a cast of anthropomorphic office monkeys navigating the repetitive cycles of corporate labor. The film uses gag-based structure and exaggerated scenarios to reflect the monotony and absurdity of contemporary work culture.
